Christmas Cheer - Day 5 - Sitting 2

After lunch (I forgot to mention that our dessert of brandy baskets with sweet & sour berry/rhubarb mix and icecream, custard and fresh berries was beautiful and shall forever remain so in our memories as I forgot to take photos...) there was a mass exodus to get ready for the next meal and visit up at 'Aunty' and L's house in Newcastle. It was lovely to catch up with James' extended family of cousins, second cousins, etc who he really only gets to see at Christmas and of course 'Grandfather' who he misses terribly and can't get enough of when we are up that way. The food (again) was most excellent, in particular the potato bake, the lovely salads, and the fresh prawns. A SPECIAL mention to M and her amazing Cassata which I don't really want the recipe for because a) I won't make it as well, and b) it would spoil the anticipation I feel every Christmas - will she make it this year or won't she....?
