It was as if the stars had aligned. I got my latest Delicious magazine with Rick Stein's perfect beef roast on the very same day that I found a jar of duck fat at King & Godfree's! So what could I do except go directly to the Vic Markets, buy a roast rib of beef and cook Sunday dinner straight from the mag - no side-steps. Unfortunately the beef turned out dismally - no more to say about that except that I am going to blame the fact that I could not find a rib roast with the 'flap' on... Anyway... the great successes of the evening were the sides. Perfect crispy-yet-fluffy potatoes (yes, proudly wallowed and roasted in duck fat...) and the beautiful cauliflower cheese dish - yum. I am not one to put recipes up on my blog page, but if you are interested and don't have the June 2007 Delicious just let me know and I'll send it to you!
